B&E at ’Burg library

Someone broke into the Wallaceburg Library early Thursday.

Chatham-Kent police got the call over a break-in on James Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers learned that sometime overnight, someone gained entry to the Wallaceburg library, and rummaged through the desk area.

The culprit(s) broke a window, doing about $500 in damage, to get access.

Another Wallaceburg B&E

Apparently someone really needed an energy boost overnight, as someone broke into the Petro Canada station on Dufferin Avenue and made off with a tray of Red Bulls.

Police got the call at about 5 a.m. to investigate.

Staff of the gas bar showed up to find the front door broken and the drinks missing.

Collisions

Throughout the municipality there were five motor vehicle collisions yesterday.

Two collisions involved vehicles hitting deer on the roadway.

Out of the other three other collisions, one was on private property and one driver was charged with careless driving.
