Break-in
Sometime early Wednesday morning around 4:30 a.m., someone forced their way into the Esso gas station and convenience store on Queen Street in Chatham, causing about $1,000 damage. Once inside, the suspects stole a quantity of cigarettes.
The first suspect is described as a man wearing a bandana over his face, black hoodie, dark pants, running shoes and carrying a backpack.
The second suspect is described as a man wearing a hoodie, baseball hat, dark jeans and carrying a backpack.

Dirt bike stolen
Sometime between Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. and Oct. 13at 10 a.m., someone forced their way into Dave Cragg’s Towing Compound on Merritt Avenue in Chatham. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a dirt bike, valued at $400.

Motor Vehicle Collisions
Yesterday morning, police responded to a collision on Woods Street in Chatham, where a 59-year-old Chatham man struck a parked vehicle.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $15,000.
The man was charged with failing to turn out to the left to avoid a collision.

Yesterday morning, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Queen Street in Tilbury. No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $7,000.
A 61-year-old Belle River man was charged with starting from a parked position – not in safety.

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Countryview Line between St. Clair Road and Prince Albert Road.
The driver lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $12,000.
The driver, a 47-year-old Dresden woman, was charged with making an unsafe move.
