Two time’s the charm
It was a rough day Sunday for a woman in Chatham, as she earned a set of steel bracelets not once, but twice.
Chatham-Kent police say three days after being released with several conditions, one of which was to not attend a specific address on Bloomfield Road, she went to that property.
Police located the woman on the property yesterday morning and she was arrested.
A 25-year-old woman, of no fixed address, was charged with failing to comply with her release conditions and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
That afternoon, she was released from court with conditions and had a future court date.
But last night, police responded to a disturbance at a motel on Queens Line. Through investigation, police learned that the woman had damaged an air conditioning unit and threatened neighbours across the road.
The woman was arrested again and charged with uttering threats and mischief under $5,000. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Threats on Bloomfield
Yesterday morning, the man attended a business on Bloomfield Road in Chatham multiple times. When asked to leave as he was no longer welcomed, the man became aggressive and threatened staff.
Police located the man a short distance away and he was taken into custody.
A 34, year-old man of no fixed address was charged with uttering threats.
B&E
Around 12:30 a.m. this morning, police responded to an alarm at the UPI Gas Bar on Park Avenue East.
Upon police arrival, officers observed that the glass door had been smashed. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
With the assistance of video surveillance, the suspect was last seen wearing a black coat with white markings on the arms and back with a hood trimmed in fur, dark pants, white high top running shoes, black mask and gloves. The suspect stole two boxes of chocolate bars, valued at approximately $70. The suspect was last seen running eastbound on Park Avenue East.

Theft
Late yesterday afternoon, police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Wal-Mart in Wallaceburg.
A 40-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with her release conditions. She was released pending a future court date.
Truck stolen
Sometime yesterday between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m., someone stole a red 2005 Ford F-150 pick-up truck from a parking lot on Tecumseh Road in Chatham.
The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 66756.

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on McNaughton Avenue East in Chatham between Glenwood Drive and Victoria Avenue.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $7,000.
A 58-year-old Chatham woman was charged with following too closely.

No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $4,000.
The driver at fault was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
