Man stabbed in Wallaceburg

A Wallaceburg woman is charged with attempted murder and a man is fighting for his life in hospital following a stabbing in Wallaceburg early Tuesday morning.

Chatham-Kent police say a woman was walking and yelling in the hallway of an apartment complex while in possession of a kitchen knife. Three different men exited their respective apartments as they heard the commotion in the hallway. The woman attempted to stab two of the men and made contact with the third man, resulting in the man being stabbed twice.

Officers arrived on the scene, located the woman and made the arrest.

A 58-year-old Wallaceburg man sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to London for medical attention.

A 33-year-old Wallaceburg woman is charged with three counts of attempted murder and being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. She has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing today.
