Anger management issue
A Ridgetown man faces numerous charges after someone broke through two doors and assaulted a homeowner in the community Sunday night.
Chatham-Kent police say the incident took place before 7 p.m.
Through investigation, police learned that a man assaulted the homeowner and broke two doors along with two dining room chairs during a verbal argument.
A 29-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and charged with assault, mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with his release conditions by consuming alcohol.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Plate problems, and more
Just before 1 a.m. this morning, an officer on general patrol observed a man driving a car on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg with license plates that were not registered to the vehicle.
The officer attempted a traffic stop, however, police say the man failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.
The officer did not pursue the vehicle for public safety reasons.
About an hour later, the officer observed the vehicle in a parking lot on McNaughton Avenue. The officer approached the vehicle and the man was identified.
A 19-year-old Thamesville man was charged with failing to stop, using plates not authorized for the vehicle, driving with no permit and having control of a motor vehicle with open alcohol.
The beer and license plates were seized and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
$30K in tools stolen
Sometime between March 1 and March 5, someone entered Industrial Machine Services on Gillard Street in Wallaceburg and stole various tools, valued at $30,000.

Car dolly stolen
Sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, someone stole a homemade car dolly from a residence on Forhan Street in Chatham.
The car dolly is grey in colour with orange ramps.

Warrant arrest
Around 4 a.m. this morning, police located a man walking on Fourth Street in Chatham who was wanted for breaching his Probation Order.
A 30-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and released pending a future court date.
