Active cases dip slowly in C-K

Active COVID -19 cases are slightly on the decline in Chatham-Kent after CK Public Health reported 14 recoveries and 10 new ones.

The active total declined to 134 while the cumulative total rose to 1,324.

Half of the new cases reported on Wednesday morning are from Fairfield Park which to date has seen 98 individuals infected with the virus.

The Wallaceburg long-term care home’s outbreak makes more than 60 of the active cases in Chatham-Kent. Copper Terrace Long-Term Care Facility, Chatham, has one active case among a staff member.

Forty-six of the remaining cases are close contacts of previously positive individuals.
