Following a pair of recent break-ins in Chatham, police ask residents to keep an eye out for suspicious vehicles in their neighbourhoods.
Chatham-Kent police advise residents to obtain as many physical descriptors as possible about the vehicle, such as colour, style and number of doors. Noting any specific areas of rust, whether the vehicle has tinted windows, or perhaps even a loud muffler, can all be of assistance even if you don’t know the make or model of the vehicle.
This after a garage and a home were broken into Wednesday in Chatham.
Between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., someone entered an open garage on Glenwood Avenue and stole a mountain bike valued at $1,000.

Police are also investigating a break-in on Tweedsmuir Avenue where someone cut the screen on a backyard window and slipped into the home. Once inside, the thief made off with an estimated $2,500 in property.
