Not very neighbourly 

Yesterday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police say a verbal argument began outside on Wellington Street in Chatham between neighbours. 

During the argument, the man threatened the woman and sprayed her with a garden hose. 

A 26-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with uttering threats, assault and failing to comply with his release conditions by not notifying police of his change in address. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Breach of probation

On March 16, a man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions. Two of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific Wallaceburg woman or attend within 100 meters of her home.

Yet, what do police say he did?

On Saturday, the man attended the woman’s home and refused to leave. As the woman called police, the man fled.

Yesterday, a 29-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of probation. He was released pending a future court date.

Youths charged with Mischief

On July 27,police responded to a mischief complaint at Kinsmen Park in Blenheim. Upon arrival, the officer observed that someone had spray-painted graffiti in the pavilion and on the picnic tables. The graffiti included racial obscenities and gang-related symbols.

Through investigation, police identified the youths responsible. 

 Early this morning, police located the youths in Chatham and they were arrested.

 

A 16-year-old Blenheim youth has been charged with mischief. He was released pending a future court date. 

A 13-year-old Blenheim youth has been charged with mischief. She remains in police custody.  

ATV stolen

Sometime early Monday morning, someone stole a 2001 Polaris ATV from a residence on St. George Street in Dresden. 

The ATV was last seen with Ontario license plates 4KZ11. 

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $9,000.
