Draw to take place Aug. 26

There’s still time to support the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) and get in on the chance to win more than $120,000.

The CKHAF’s 2020 Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser draw takes place Wednesday at 1 p.m. Tickets are on sale until noon that day.

The total amount raised is currently $240,000 with a winning jackpot of $120,000 and rising.

Last year marked the first year for the fundraiser. Winner Bert Vanderheide took home $149,180.

Proceeds from this year’s lottery will support the purchase of a C-Arm – a specialized diagnostic imaging machine that uses X-ray technology to produce real-time images during a procedure. The C-Arm is a key piece of equipment for CKHA’s new urology services, according to hospital officials.
