Fail to comply
Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment on Thames Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was not living at his court-approved address, nor had he notified police of his change in address.
A 31-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply.
Domestic charges
Last weekend, a man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific family member in Chatham.
Shortly after 2 a.m. this morning, the man attended the woman’s home and damaged a window during an argument.
Through investigation, police learned that the man had also sent the woman a threatening message via Facebook.
Officers located the man a short distance away and he was arrested.

Drunk in public
Last night, police responded to a disturbance in Tilbury.
Officers say a woman called police to complain that a friend didn’t her a cigarette.
Officers located the woman and took her into custody, for her own safety, police say, as she was intoxicated.
A 43-year-old Tilbury woman has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She will be released when the cell stops spinning.
Stolen trailers found
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. last night, an officer on general patrol observed a grey Dodge pick-up truck travelling from Kingsway Drive onto Grand Avenue East in Chatham, pulling a trailer that was not properly attached.
A query of the trailer plate revealed that it was stolen from Kitchener last week.
The officer activated his emergency lights and sirens in an effort to stop the vehicle.
The driver failed to stop and continued driving east on Longwoods Road.
Officers attempted to stop the truck around Caledonia Road, however the driver continued. For public safety reasons, officers stopped pursuing the truck and trailer.
Just west of Louisville, officers located the stolen black utility trailer in the ditch along Longwoods Road.

Sometime this week, someone stole a trailer from a construction site on Detroit Drive.
The 20-foot black construction trailer was recovered this morning in a parking lot on Priscilla Street.
