The silly times over the weekend were not isolated to the panicked masses buying up toilet paper in Chatham-Kent grocery stores, as C-K police were kept busy as well.

Early Sunday morning, police got the call to a domestic disturbance in Chatham.

Police say a third party reported a man had pointed a firearm at his girlfriend.

Officers arrived and found the suspect and a discarded replica firearm.

A 42-year-old man is charged with failing to comply, weapon offences and breach of probation.

On Saturday evening, officers attended a Chatham residence after a complaint of an assault.

Police say the officers learned the complaint revolved around two men.

A 36-year-old man is charged with assault and uttering threats.
