Info on recent thefts sought

Recent break-ins have Chatham-Kent police seeking help from the public to nail the perpetrators.

Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, someone entered a shed on Longwoods Road and stole about $15,000 in tools and equipment.

Police say the thieves made off with 15-20 yellow DeWalt drills, DeWalt batteries, various hand tools, a yellow Stihl chainsaw and leaf blower, and a red Honda 5000w generator.

Officers recovered the generator in a stolen boat discovered behind 190 Thames Street in Chatham on Monday morning.

Also sometime between Sunday and Monday, someone forced their way into a residence on Athlone Road near Tilbury and stole televisions, a PS4 gaming system and a microwave oven.

Sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning, someone got into an unlocked garage on Talbot Trail in Romney Township and stole a 42-inch TCL Roku TV and HDTV antenna.

Value of the theft is pegged at $330.
