A paddling poker run takes place Saturday in Chatham, with proceeds to Big Fix Cat Rescue.
The Thames River Poker Run gets underway Saturday at 9 a.m. at Thames Grove Conservation Area off Kingsway Drive in Chatham.
Entry fees for canoes are $25 and kayaks are $15.
Participants will paddle their way through five poker run stops on the river at various bridges, collecting their five cards along the way.
There will be a barbecue after the event, and prizes.
