Chatham-Kent police have turned to the public for help solving an attempted theft from June 18.

Just before 6 a.m. on the 18th, police ay a man attended a Richmond Street business and tried to steal a laptop. But when approached by an employee, the man sprayed that person with bear spray.

The employee did not require medical attention.

Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying this man in connection with this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Const.
