It’s been just over a year since Gincor Trailer Werx setup operations at their local Blenheim custom trailer manufacturing facility and things are looking strong for the company, according to municipal officials.
With locations across Canada, Gincor Werx is known as an industry leader for their products which include dump bodies, pre-built trucks, snow and ice equipment, cranes, flat decks, roll-off hook-lifts, van bodies, and heavy haul float trailers.
“The first year at the Blenheim facility has been awesome, and our success is thanks to having an excellent team giving 100 per cent. We have strengthened our relationships with current customers and we have added new customers to the fold.” said Greg Pavelich, Human Resources/Health and Safety Manager for Gincor Trailer Werx, via a media release. “The community has also welcomed us with open arms and helped to make it a great environment for everyone. We have filled over 30 new positions and we anticipate hiring more.”
Gincor Werx has more than four decades of experience and expertise in custom manufacturing and is known throughout the industry for their workmanship, technical innovations, and for being one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies.
“Gincor Werx has been recognized as one of the best managed companies in Canada and it shows with the results that they have achieved in just one year at their Blenheim location,” said Stuart McFadden, Director of Chatham-Kent Economic Development Services. “I’ve had many conversations with them about how they saw very positive business value in their Blenheim site and decided that Chatham-Kent was an ideal place to invest.”
Gincor Trailer Werx currently employs about 90 staff. Positions include skilled workers such as welders, industrial painters, general labourers, machine operators, sandblasters, and administrative and support staff.
Welder Larry Archibald started with the company in June of this year and notes that “since joining Gincor only a short few months ago, I have come to understand the transformation this company has made in its first year. This has happened, for the most part, through nothing less than the heroics of both the management and the employees. I am proud to be a part of that and look forward to a bright future with Gincor.”
Ken Ramsden, is a key employee in the Assembly Department.
“Looking back, I am very happy with what has happened this first year. With new benefits, tools and a great safety plan in place, I am proud to say that I’m here,” he said. “Gincor has come through with everything they promised with new renovations in place, a driving workforce bringing exciting new projects into the company going into 2019 and many years to come with this confident, safe, family working environment, I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
