A Chatham man faces animal cruelty charges.
Police say officers arrested the man yesterday afternoon in connection with a historical domestic-related investigation.
But a 35-year-old Chatham man now also faces a charge of cruelty to animals along with three counts of assault.
Police have released no other details at this time.
