It didn’t take long for a Chatham man to head back behind bars.

Chatham-Kent police say a man walked out of court Tuesday with several conditions, one of which was to abide by a curfew between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

That very night, police learned he wasn’t living at the court-ordered address and ignored the curfew.

Yesterday, officers found the man and made the arrest. Upon being searched, police discovered he had baggies of crystal methamphetamine and a knife in his pants. Another court order prohibits the man from possessing any weapons.

A 28-year-old man is charged with three counts of failing to comply, possession of a prohibited weapon, breaching a probation order, carrying a concealed weapon and possession for the purposes of trafficking.
