A Wallaceburg man is in custody this morning pending a bail hearing after someone tried to attack a man with a metal bar on the weekend.
Police say on Saturday afternoon, a man went to a Margaret Avenue residence about 3:30 p.m. to confront another man.
According to police, the first man broke a window on the house, threatened the other man and tried to hit him with a metal bar.
The assailant fled the area, but was arrested a short time later.
A 35-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with mischief, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.
