Highway 40 near Wallaceburg is open again and a man faces careless driving charges following a morning chain-reaction accident near Border Road.
Chatham-Kent OPP say a vehicle had stopped on the highway, which caused a second and third vehicle to stop. But the next one coming along didn’t and slammed into the back of the third, pushing it into the second.
The three vehicles involved in the accident had to be towed from the scene, after suffering moderate damage.
One driver had to be taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police say a 58-year-old Wallaceburg man faces the careless driving charge.
