Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest related to a break and enter earlier this month
On June 14, police responded to a break and enter into an apartment on Merritt Avenue in Chatham where electronics, jewelry and cash were stolen.
After investigating, police learned that three men were responsible for the break and enter. Yesterday afternoon, police arrested and charged the first of three men. The 19-year-old Chatham man was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing. Police continue to look for the other two Chatham men.
Police are also looking for information on a break and enter that happened sometime between June 25 at 1:00 p.m. and June 27 at 9:00 a.m. when unknown suspect(s) forced their way into McKellar’s Flowers on St. George St. in Dresden causing about $1000 damage. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
