Chatham-Kent Police were busy looking into three break and enters over the weekend.
Last night around 6:00 p.m. an observant citizen noticed suspicious activity on Foster Street in Chatham and called police. Police investigated and two men were found inside a storage building gathering scrap copper wire.
A 29-year-old Chatham man and 42-year-old Tilbury man were both arrested and charged with break and enter. They have both been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Sometime between April 23 at 5:00 p.m. and April 24 at 10:00 a.m. a thief removed several items, including various tools, tires, rims and a set of golf clubs from a carport and shed on Water Street. Total value of the theft is estimated at $3,000.

And then sometime yesterday afternoon between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., someone entered an unlocked residence on Blythewood Crescent and stole diapers and various jars of baby food.
