A Chatham man faces a slew of charges after someone attacked a local woman with a razor and a crow bar, and even burned her with a lighter recently.
Police say the altercation took place Sunday, and the man allegedly cut the woman – his girlfriend – with a razor, assaulted her with a crow bar and burned her with the lighter.
She was treated in hospital for her injuries.
Police say this isn’t the first incident of violence in the relationship.
About noon Wednesday, police located their suspect and made their arrest.
A 33-year-old Chatham man is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, uttering threats, assault causing bodily harm, and assault.
