It certainly is a season of giving in Chatham-Kent – giving people a hard time.
Police say one man lied to police, another threatened his ex-girlfriend and a teenager threatened people with a sledgehammer over the weekend.

The teen wasn’t alone in the threats department. Police say a man began arguing with his ex-girlfriend Sunday, and it escalated with him eventually threatening the woman.
Police say about 90 minutes later they were informed he had also threatened another ex-girlfriend the same day.

And then there is the matter involving a 26-year-old Chatham man. Police say shortly before 1 a.m. this morning, officers went to the area of King Street West near Phyllis Avenue in Chatham, responding to a complaint about a suspicious person.
