Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
A woman reported that her common-law threw hot water and rubbing alcohol at her during a verbal argument.
The woman further disclosed a previous incident of domestic abuse.
The 22-year-old Chatham man has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
