On October 12, 2015, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on Highway 401 near Duart Road.
Just after 10:30 p.m., the officer observed a westbound Acura car that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr. The RADAR registered a speed of approximately 165 km/hr.
The 22-year-old female driver from Mississauga has been charged with racing. The driver’s license has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
