A Gregory Drive East homeowner was awakened to the sound of sa crash early Sunday morning to find that his vchicle had been struck by a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, police spoke to the driver and suspected that he had cosumed alcohol.
He was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where breath tests were conducted. The test results showed that the driver had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his body.
A 23 year old Walpole Island male was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 and was released with a future court date of September 29, 2015.
