Spring is here (kind of) and with it comes construction season.
Fourth Street in downtown Chatham will suffer through about a month’s worth of construction, starting Monday, as crews will replace a water main.
As a result, the southbound parking and driving lane will be closed. Traffic in both directions will be shifted to the northbound lane and parking strip. Obviously, on-street parking will be prohibited during the construction.
It’s estimated construction will be complete by May 20.
