With just over two weeks to go in the United Way of Chatham-Kent fundraising campaign, contributions remain more than $200,000 short of its $1.9-million goal.
As of Thursday afternoon, funds raised across the municipality were only a few dollars shy of $1,676,000.
The campaign touches down Jan. 23.
To date, only the Tilbury, Merlin and Wheatley communities have reached their campaign target, bringing in more than $140,000 after facing a goal of just under $114,000. Blenheim is just shy of its goal of nearly $151,000.
Ridgetown is furthest behind, having seen just over $20,000 raised, with a goal of nearly $47,000.
In Chatham, fundraising is about $174,000 shy of the goal of more than $1.3 million.
