Giving a police officer false identification can prove to be a problem.
According to Chatham-Kent OPP, someone verbally gave an officer incorrect information after a traffic stop about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 20 on Highway 401.
The OPP arrested and charged the driver with personation with intent to avoid arrest, obstruct a peace officer, driving while under suspension, fail to surrender a permit for the motor vehicle, use a plate not authorized for the vehicle, and fail to surrender insurance card.
