The Salvation Army again plays host to a Victorian-era Christmas event.

On Nov. 29 at its Orangewood Boulevard facility, the Army hosts performances of A Caroler’s Christmas at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Step back in time through live music and historic carols as a pioneer family shares new stories and songs from Christmas in the 1890s.

The program will end with a reading of the classic holiday newspaper editorial, “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.”

Admission is by free-will offering. Proceeds go to the Salvation Army’s food programs in Chatham-Kent.
