The Chatham-Kent Public Library has a busy schedule planned to celebrate A Dickens December.
In honour of Charles Dickens, the library is hosting special drop-in programs.
At the Chatham branch, it begins with Dickens Day, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m., as costumed members of the Dickens Fellowship will lead the way in song and storytelling.
On Dec. 13, participants will make old-fashioned Christmas decorations.
Parents make the presents Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. At the same time, kids will play parlour games.
On Dec. 22, participants will learn why it is good luck to have a cricket in your home.
And on Dec. 30, the library hosts a family-friendly New Year’s Eve party at 11 a.m.
