Chatham-Kent police arrested a local man last night after someone attacked another man with a baseball bat, pepper spray and a rock.
Police say about 7 p.m. last night, officers went to the area of Timmins Crescent and Sudbury Drive after a report of two men fighting.
Police broke up the fight, but say the man on the wrong end of the bat, pepper spray and rock wound up being taken to hospital for treatment.
According to police, a witness who tried to break up the fight also got hit with the rock.
In connection with the incident, a 38-year-old Chatham man is charged with four counts of assault with a weapon and three counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
