Chatham-Kent police are continuing to investigate a morning accident on Park Avenue East where a cyclist was hit.
Police say shortly after 6 a.m. the male cyclist was eastbound on Park Avenue near Creek Road. He was found lying on the gravel shoulder, was taken to hospital in Chatham and later airlifted to a Windsor hospital with serious injuries.
It has been reported the bike rider isn’t sure if he was hit by a vehicle or just fell off the bike.
The road is still closed this afternoon as traffic unit officers continue to look into the matter.
