Thieves have hit two local churches in recent weeks.
Chatham-Kent police say sometime between Sept. 14 and 21, someone got into New Beginnings church on Wellington Street West, doing about $200 in damage and making off with about $200 in cash.

As well, sometime between Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. and Sept. 22 at 7:30 a.m., someone got into St. Agnes Church on Croydon. Police say the culprits did about $3,000 in damage to various offices and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the weekend offerings.
