A 31-year-old Wheatley man remains in critical condition in hospital following a weekend accident in West Kent.
As reported Sunday, according to Chatham-Kent police, they received a call about 8 p.m. Saturday to respond to a single motor vehicle accident on Essex Kent Road at Tilbury West-Romney.
A Chevy Silverado was headed southwest when it came to a left-hand bend in the road. It appears the driver was slow to turn and then over-corrected, as the truck went onto the right shoulder, pulled back onto the road, crossing into the oncoming lane and then went into the ditch on the far side of the road.
The force of the impact, police say, ejected the driver from the vehicle.
Police are still investigating. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Const. Todd Trahan at 519-352-1092.
