Field sobriety?

A foray through a ditch and into a field Wednesday evening, along with showing signs of intoxication, has led to impaired driving charges against a Wallaceburg man.

Police say the crash took place about 7:15 p.m. on Langstaff Line near Wallaceburg. A report came in that a vehicle had driven through the ditch and into the field.

Officers arrived on the scene and located the man on Forhan Street. The officers suspected the man to be under the influence of alcohol and issued a breath demand, which resulted in a failure.

A 74-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with impaired driving.
