Why are you running?
I am running for council because I believe local government works best when it’s connected to the people it serves. As a boots-on-the-ground councillor, I listen, show up, and work to find practical solutions to real challenges. My focus has always been simple: people before politics and long-term results over short-term headlines.
What are the two biggest issues for the next term of council?
Some of the biggest challenges facing Chatham-Kent is our growing infrastructure gap and the limitations on provincial funding available to address it. We have aging roads, bridges, facilities, water systems, and other municipal assets that require significant investment. At the same time, municipalities are increasingly being asked to respond to housing affordability, homelessness, mental health, and addiction challenges. While many of these issues are not traditionally municipal responsibilities, local governments are often left managing the impacts, stretching already limited resources and making long-term planning increasingly difficult.
What do you hope to achieve if elected?
My goal is to continue championing responsible investments that support growth, infrastructure, and opportunity across Chatham-Kent, while remaining focused on delivering results and advocating for the needs of the communities I am privileged to represent in Ward 2.
What skills and experience do you bring?
My intent is to bring a unique combination of municipal experience, financial oversight, health-care leadership, and grassroots community engagement to Chatham-Kent council. With years of council experience and senior management experience in health care, I understand budgets, asset management, labour relations, and long-term planning. Most importantly, I am a boots-on-the-ground councillor who listens to residents, responds to concerns, and makes informed decisions focused on practical solutions and the long-term success of Chatham-Kent.
Are you a fan of Donald Trump? No.
