Why are you running?
I now have more time to give back to the community we decided to call home when we moved here over 18 years ago.
In that time I’ve listened to people’s concerns on air and I want to continue serving our community.
What are the two biggest issues for the next term of council?
Firstly, cost of living and housing affordability – we need to cut red tape for builders and speed up approvals for attainable smaller homes.
Second, protecting taxpayers and focusing on core infrastructure like roads and water while keeping tax increases responsible.
What do you hope to achieve if elected?
Help to create an approachable, accountable council where residents actually feel heard before decisions are made, alongside smart spending focused on the services and infrastructure our families rely on every day.
What skills and experience do you bring?
Over three decades of radio broadcasting and program management. That career taught me how to listen to different viewpoints and communicate clearly.
In my almost 20 years on air in Chatham-Kent, I’ve worked with almost every charitable group and organization, giving me deep connections in our community.
