The search for the perfect – to you – tree in Chatham-Kent is back on.
NatureCK is once again holding its Best Tree in Chatham-Kent contest. If you have a favourite tree, organizers want to hear from you.
In an effort to get more people to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and significance of trees in our community, NatureCK started this friendly contest last year.
But it’s more than just a pretty tree situation. NatureCK officials said they want to know why that tree speaks to you. Is it the tree’s size, location, age or overall beauty? Perhaps it holds a special place in your heart or memory.
Regardless, they want photos and want to hear from you.
To enter, email your nomination to [email protected]
Include your name, phone number, email address, the location of the tree (it must be in Chatham-Kent), why the tree should earn the Best Tree in C-K title, a photo of the tree and whether or not you have the property owner’s permission to visit the tree.
Both native and non-native species are eligible.
Deadline to enter is Aug. 15 and the winners will be announced Sept. 15.
