Artists sought for exhibit

Thames Art Gallery is inviting artists to take part in an upcoming exhibition – Queer Portraits – in mid-August.

This community‑focused showcase will highlight artworks that celebrate, reflect, or explore connections to Chatham‑Kent’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Artworks submitted must show a meaningful connection to the Chatham‑Kent community; be created from the perspective of, or in allyship with, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community; and portray a specific person(s) or a defining characteristic of that individual.

A jury will review and select entries based on these criteria.

The call for entry is now open and will close May 29.

Artists may submit up to two works using the online form on the gallery’s website. Submission is free, and artists of all experience levels are welcome. Varied media are encouraged, including 2D, 3D, text‑based, video, and performance works.

Queries can be directed to the gallery email at [email protected].
