A Chatham man spent time in the drunk tank Thursday, and apparently didn’t like it.
Officers responded to a call for a disturbance at a King Street West restaurant late Thursday afternoon.
Police say an intoxicated man entered the restaurant, cause a disturbance, all while possessing an open container of alcohol.
The officers located their suspect and arrested him for public intoxication.
However, while in custody, police say the man damaged property.
As a result, a 30-year-old Chatham man is also charged with mischief.

Did you mean he was also charged with destruction of property?
