A Chatham man faces assault charges after a woman was apparently slugged early this morning.
Police were called shortly before 12:30 a.m. Friday to a residence of Sheldon Avenue in Chatham.
Officers investigated and determined a woman suffered a facial injury after being assaulted.
A 40-year-old Chatham man is charged with assault.
