New equipment is being installed this week to monitor wells in downtown Wheatley.
On the recommendation of T.L. Watson and Associates, the new testing instruments will be installed to determine next steps towards the final closure of the monitoring well.
This process will last for approximately six months.
There will be Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue Services staff on site daily to perform routine checks, and there is no concern for public safety associated with the ongoing testing, officials said.
