A Blenheim man is charged after allegedly spitting on the keypad at the entrance to the Chatham-Kent Police Service building in Blenheim recently.
Police say the loogie hawking took place about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Video surveillance captured a man spitting on the keypad. Apparently, it was a spitting image of the suspect.
This comes nine days after the man was released by the court with conditions to not leave his residence while under the influence of alcohol, police say.
Officers caught up to the man about two hours after the spitting incident, responding to a call for an unwanted person on Wellington Street in Blenheim.
Police say the accused admitted to having been drinking.
A 29-year-old Blenheim man is charged with mischief and failing to comply with a court order.
