Chatham-Kent police are investigating reports of an indecent act outside a school in Chatham.

Police say the act occurred Oct. 22 at Queen Elizabeth II school between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

It took place while the school was closed, and no children were present. Investigators also don’t think anyone was with the suspect when the act occurred.

The suspect is described as male, between 20 and 40 year of age. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt, pants, dark-coloured shoes with a white or light-coloured sole and a dark backpack. The male was riding a mountain bike at the time of the incident.

Police encourage members of the public in this area to review their home surveillance systems and to share with police any footage they believe shows the suspect in the area.

The incident is in the hands of the major crime unit.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Const. Mark VanderGriendt at markvan@chatham-kent.ca or call 519-436-6600 ext. 80207.
