Two people face charges and an investigation continues after Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance call Friday afternoon in Chatham.
Shortly after 4 p.m., police received word that a large group of youths were in the area of Barthe and Kent Street. This had carried over from another location. Several people called police to report the disturbance.
As police arrived, several youths fled the area.
Officers arrested a 15-year-old youth as they tried to run across the Third Street Bridge.
The youth was held for bail on numerous charges. This investigation is currently ongoing and further information to be released at a future time.
Another person faces assault charges in connection with the clustering. Police say an 18-year-old woman assaulted two different people.
While holding one of the young woman’s hair, she burnt the victim’s arm with a lighter, police say.
The woman is charged with two counts of assault and assault with a weapon.
