B&E arrest in Dresden

A Ridgetown man is up on charges after a break-in Tuesday afternoon in Dresden.

Chatham-Kent police were called shortly after 1:30 p.m. to a residence on Esterville Road.

The suspect was believed to be still on the property.

Officers arrived on the scene and began their search. Police located the man, whom they way is known by the homeowner, trying to hide.

The man provided a false name, police say.

The homeowner’s house and car keys were found on the man during a search.

A 37-year-old Ridgetown man is charged with obstructing a peace officer and break and enter.

Man pushed, woman charged

A rural dispute ended in violence Tuesday afternoon, and a woman faces charges as a result.

Police were called to a disturbance on O’Neill Line in Morpeth shortly after noon.

Officers learned a verbal altercation between the woman and the man escalated when the woman pushed the man.

A 64-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is charged with assault.
