No one was hurt in a residential fire in Chatham Friday afternoon.
Fire broke out in a multi-unit dwelling on Jeffrey Street about 1:45 p.m. Friday. Crews from Station 1 and 2 arrived to see smoke and flames visible in some of the upper floor windows.
Firefighters entered the apartment in question and quickly put out the fire in the kitchen.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
