Highway 401 remains closed in both directions near Chatham this hour as the OPP continues its investigation into a single vehicle rollover that sent one person to hospital.
Police report that around 5:45 a.m., a semi rolled over while headed westbound on the highway.
The lone occupant of the involved transport truck was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a trauma centre by Ornge air ambulance.
Police say the injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
The highway, between Bloomfield Road and Communications Road, has been closed in both directions to allow for investigation, and vehicle removal. It’s expected to stay closed for a few more hours.
