Warranted

The Chatham-Kent police appear to be engaged in a catch-and-release program with a Wallaceburg woman.

On June 9, police say the accused was located and arrested for a previous fail to attend court charge. At that time, the accused was issued a future court date, which she later failed to attend and appear for, police say. This resulted in a warrant being issued for her arrest.

On Wednesday, police located the accused once again, and arrested her on all outstanding warrants.

However, the 28-year-old Wallaceburg woman was later released with a future court date of Oct. 30.
